Elya Yalonetski is a Russian ceramicist now living in Berlin who sells her work through her Etsy Shop - (as well as selling through Galleries in Berlin, Paris and St Petersberg)


Etsy has a bit of a mixed reputation - as befits an unselected website where anyone can show and  sell their work (and that's the beauty of it) - but dig deep and there are some really fantastic makers to be found.

We've just announced the winner of the MADE11 Peer Prize which is chosen by the exhibiting makers themselves. It was quite close with 2 makers in the lead but in the end the weaver Holly Berry pulled clear and was awarded this years prize....

MADE11 is looking great so far. Everyone is more or less in with no major incidents. Setting up is going on apace. How all that stock and furniture finally is fitted into the stands and it looks sleek and spacious I don't know.





Exhibitors are already commenting on how high the standard is again, and how new exhibitors to the show raise the bar each year.  We're at the Corn Exchange today putting the screens up for the MADE11 show. So far all very smooth although playing musical chairs with large HGV's and Coaches in the tiny loading lane is interesting (The Darkness are at the Dome tonight and they have a lot of kit!)

Christine is a figurative painter who paints on acetate to produce her atmospheric paintings of figures

I've been at the lovely Fulham Palace all week supervising the building (literally) of three marquees, and the stands to house 110 artists and galleries.




We've already got our first works in place - huge wooden carved pine cones and conkers. Busy but more civilised on Friday and we eventually got a minute towards the end of the day to snap some of the exhibition. Feedback from both artists and exhibitors is "great fair, best selection and variety to date -'love it!'"
