Working class heroes

On the hunt for a birthday present for my young man, I came across this Austrian based company,
www.workingclassheroes.eu
At first I was drawn to the grey felt which brought the nostalgia of dark bars in Berlin wintertime, but I really love the whole package of their calm, ordered site and blog, use of found materials and imagery create a wonderful atmosphere.
All that from a website!!

Etsy - Alyssa Ettinger
As promised the best of etsy...
Knitware Bowl $65
Brooklyn (NY) based Alyssa Ettinger left a high-flying career in publishing to become a potter. She makes slipcast and handbuilt ceramics. Meiko range - the thrown work named after her friend who got her into pottery and the knitware range which takes the vogue for textile/fabric inspired ceramics to a logical and wonderfully bizarre new high.
Knitware Demitasse Cups, set of two $50
