Sarah Young's Studio Sale - 25-26 June and 2-3 July

Every two years we mow the lawn, bake some cakes and open our doors for a studio sale. Initially the idea was to raise some money to build a studio - which is now up and will be open during the sale - but we found, very much to our surprise, that we actually enjoyed welcoming visitors to the house and studio meeting our buyers and talking about the work and so we've made it a biennial event. Almost everything of Sarah's (not things we have to buy in like her books) will have at least 20% off the website price for the duration of the sale. We only have a sale every other year.

As well as Sarah's Prints Dolls Paintings Illustrations etc we will be exhibiting some fantastic other artists work -

Christian Funnell's Sculptures,Rachel Dormor's Domestic Ceramics,
Lara Aldridge's Glass,
Jo Sweeting's Stone Carvings,
Joy Fox's Button Jewellery and recycled wool corsages
and Harriet Knightley's unique, modular jewellery.
Sarah's Studio Sale is on 25-26 June and 2-3 July 11-5
at 24 Windsor Road Worthing BN11 2LX

If you can't make it to the Sale - you can order online at a 20% discount until 21st July.

Worthing Open Houses are also Open for these weekends and many of the houses are within an easy walk (along the beach) of our house.

Dionne Swift wins Gold Award

Textile artist Dionne Swift has won the gold award for Textiles in the Craft & Design Selected Awards!

Please find the judges’ comments below;

Dionne Swift’s engaging and innovative work commands huge respect from her peers as well as from other professionals and the public. Her great skill and extensive knowledge of her materials, techniques and processes are leading to exciting synergies. She not only breaks boundaries but admits to ignoring them, the results showing an uncompromising integrity. Tracking her career leaves one anticipating even better to come. Dionne’s work inspires and encourages others and most importantly, I think her work is distinctive and memorable. It will be valued in decades to come.

We are delighted that Dionne will be exhibiting her work at the Palace Art Fair in October.
