The overarching theme for Assemble 2012 is the contribution craft makes to innovation and enterprise, and the relationship between making, science and technology.  Makers work in a far greater range of contexts than is widely realised – bringing innovation and distinctive value to biotechnology, engineering, materials science, manufacturing and digital and communications technology. For scientists, engineers and technologists, collaboration with makers and other creative professionals can bring particular benefits and is capable of introducing new ways of thinking.

Conference sessions will focus on bioscience and high-end Manufacturing and will include panel discussions, workshops and activities alongside keynote speakers and ample opportunity for networking.
