Phew what a scorcher!

We're not going to be able to go to the Brighton Artists Open Houses this week as I'll be acting as navvy for Damien who's erecting our new and long awaited 'shed' - we raised the money at our Studio Sale last year and finally on the hottest days of the year we're doing unheard of hard physical labour! Still, hopefully there'll be no rain as our Western Red Cedar cladding won't arrive for a week. Here's some of the parts awaiting construction. We are taking photo's of the construction so will post again.

Meanwhile the weather here has been so lovely that going round the Open Houses is a joy, Brighton seafront will be too crowded, the roads are too busy to 'do activities', so nosying around peoples houses and artworks is the best and most enjoyable thing to do. We didn't go to a lot of houses last week but the ones we did get to were lovely; (envy inducing) fantastic houses, great art and sometimes lovely home-made tea and cake in the gardens.
