Blue Bottle Karen BarrattOverlooking Brighton from 15 Hampstead Road high above Preston Park Station is the Dog House, home of Photographer and author Karen Mancey Barrett. The house hasn't been open for a year or so but this year extends upwards throughout the whole house to the new loft with incredible views over Hanover, Race Hill and down the valley to the Steine (also quite impressed with the removable wall at the back of loft studio!)
Still Life with Duck, Pheasant and Pomegranate Karen BarrattKaren's put together a eclectic collection of artists and makers and also has a reading room complete with a large armchair next to piles of books to browse and/or buy - promoting the work of other local authors published by Myriad Editions, a Hove-based publishing house.
